Breville Barista Express Impress: espresso grind setting

Where to start

• Light roast: grind size 14. Medium: grind size 16. Dark: grind size 18.
• The dial: 1 to 25 (grind size).
• One small step: 1 grind size.
• The Impress doses automatically, and the dose changes with the grind: finer can give less coffee ("A Bit More" on the dial), coarser more. Check the dose after a grind change.
• If shots still run fast at the finest setting, move the upper burr one number finer.

The light and dark starting points are two small steps either side of the medium one: our rule of thumb, not the maker's.
