Timemore C2 / C3 (not ESP): espresso grind setting
Start at 8 clicks from zero for a medium roast. Finer is fewer clicks.
Where to start
- Light roast: 6 clicks from zero. Medium: 8 clicks from zero. Dark: 10 clicks from zero.
- Usual espresso range: 6 to 12 (clicks from zero).
- One small step: 1 clicks from zero.
- Zero point: Zero is where the burrs just touch.
- Note: espresso only with a pressurised (double-wall) basket.
- A filter grinder: about 80 µm per click leaves only a few usable espresso positions, so it works with pressurised baskets only. The C3 ESP version (23 µm per click) is the espresso one.
The light and dark starting points are two small steps either side of the medium one: our rule of thumb, not the maker's.
