Mazzer Philos: espresso grind setting
Mazzer leaves a gap at 0, so start a few notches above 0 and dial in from there. Finer is a lower number (toward 0).
Where to start
- One small step: 1 notch, about [object Object] µm of burr movement.
- Zero point: Mazzer calibrates 0 with a gap left between the burrs. Recalibrate only after changing the burrs, or after taking them out and refitting them.
- Mazzer publishes no espresso number. The I189D burrs are Mazzer's pick for traditional espresso (medium to dark roasts); the I200D for lighter roasts.
- It can be converted to stepless for finer control.
